XPrize.org: ROMANIAN TEAM ANNOUNCES TEST FLIGHT INTENTIONS
XPrize.org reports: ARCA Team Leader Dumitru Popescu announced today that his Ansari X PRIZE demonstrator vehicle is moving forward to the flight test stage. According to the team's press release, the "World's first composite materials reusable monopropellant rocket engine will be flight tested in July on board the Demonstrator 2-B rocket. The first flight will be made below 10 km, mainly because of the launch site restrictions." ARCA plans for this technology to be used on the ORIZONT, its Ansari X PRIZE vehicle, with manned flights starting with the next year.
